Vice President BioProcess
Olivier Loeillot brings a wide range of experience in business and science to his role as General Manager of BioProcess for Cytiva. The business provides bioprocessing technologies, solutions and expertise for every stage of drug discovery and development, including early-stage research to the large-scale manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals.
Olivier’s best days at work are when he sees customers complete clinical trials and begin manufacturing on the accelerated timeline afforded by solutions such as FlexFactory and KUBio, the flagship modular concepts.
Before leading the BioProcess business, Olivier was General Manager of Genomics & Cellular Research – a business that drives technologies such as Western Blotting and Cell Analysis, and looks ahead at what future solutions could solve patient issues. He maintains a long view on developments in the industry and is now leading his teams toward digital solutions that will make manufacturing processes more efficient, predictable and simpler.
Olivier has lived in Asia and Europe, running the regional BioProcess business and Enterprise Solutions businesses there. He has about twenty years’ experience in the global life sciences and pharmaceutical industry. He joined Cytiva via GE Healthcare in 2010 from Lonza, where he held a series of senior leadership roles in general management, business development and sales. While at Lonza, Olivier led the development of the Microbial Biopharmaceutical business from its early start to the acquisition of Cambrex Biopharma. Olivier earned his Master’s degree in Chemistry in 1993 from The European High Institute of Chemistry of Strasbourg, France. He subsequently graduated from CESMA with a Master’s degree in Business Administration.
