Cytivans support cancer researchers to help advance healthcare

By Cytiva

Cytivans around the world united to give back to our local communities. In 2023, we donated just over $1.7 million to more than 25 organizations around the world.  Our volunteerism and charitable donations initiatives supported our three pillars: advancing healthcare, building a diverse STEM-ready workforce, and protecting our environment.

Here’s a quick spotlight on two campaigns that helped advance health care innovation:

  • Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS): ‘Light The Night’ campaign funds treatments for patients who are suffering from blood cancers in addition to continued scientific research towards a cure. Since 2017, LLS has helped advance 85% of the blood cancer treatment options approved by the FDA.
Impact: 664 volunteer hours, $29,372 donated in 2023

  • Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF): Throughout October, associates came together during our ’Research Matters’ fundraising campaign to conduct bake sales, mammograpahy screenings, webinars, golf tournaments, silent auctions, trivia events, and more. And our customers also pitched in and ‘shopped for a cause’ on designated products where a portion of the online sales were donated to this campaign.
Impact:  6108 hours of breast cancer research funded in 2023

Cytiva's Community Impact program is just one tool in our overall sustainability strategy. We care for our local communities by driving positive impacts for people and for our planet. Danaher's Shared Purpose – Innovating at the speed of life – unites Cytivans with just over 60 000 Danaher associates in the pursuit of something bigger than ourselves and drives us to continually make meaningful contributions in work and in life.
