Overview

ÄKTA pilot™ 600 is a bench-top chromatography system with a wide flow and pressure range. It suits both production of technical batches and scale-up studies as well as small-scale production of GMP-grade material.

Bridge the transition from non-GMP to GMP environment with a single platform. This is the smallest cleanable GMP system offered by Cytiva.
Speed up projects through easy handling and changeover. The intuitive process picture and SNAP connectors provide quick setup and use of the system.
Access wide scalability both within and between systems in a compact bench-top system.
Modular design to enable flexible functionality. Add additional inlets and outlets or sensors to your system. The two-port column valve supports up- and down-flow and seamless switching from run mode to column packing mode for two columns.

Two versions in one platform for small-scale GMP

The system is the smallest cleanable GMP chromatography system from Cytiva. Choose the 600S model for work in non-GMP environments or configure the 600R model for GMP environments. Regulatory support is available for the 600R model.

Flexibility to move from process development to GMP

The wide flow rate and pressure ranges enables more than 40-fold scaling for columns within a 26 to 200 mm column i.d. range. This wide range makes the ÄKTA pilot 600 an excellent system to bridge the transition into GMP environment from HiScale™ columns using ÄKTA avant™ system to pilot-scale AxiChrom™ 50-200 columns (supported by Intelligent packing) and continuing scale-up to ÄKTA process™ system using large-scale AxiChrom columns.

Adapt functionality to your needs

Functionality can be added to the system as requirements change over time thanks to a modular design. Module assembly is easy using a supplied tool and quick activation in UNICORN™ software. Tubing is attached using the innovative SNAP connectors which make attaching columns or buffer containers quick and easy.

Use the standard ÄKTA pilot™ 600S for scaling up from ÄKTA avant™ chromatography system in process development to pilot scale. This system can perform a 40-fold scaling for columns between 26 mm and 200 mm inner diameter, all under non-GMP conditions. The modular system provides flexibility to meet your requirements for different projects.

ÄKTA pilot™ 600R for GMP production

Transfer your purification method into GMP space using the ÄKTA pilot™ 600R system. Methods immediately transfer from the 600S system where you’ll have traceability to meet GMP requirements.
Once your process has been transferred into GMP space, you can continue scale-up to ÄKTA process™ chromatography system and large-scale AxiChrom columns for full-scale manufacturing.
