Overview
Whatman™ Carbon Cap capsule filters are filled with activated carbon and include a pleated glass fiber filter. They are suitable for adsorption of organic vapors from air, and for removing color, organics, and chlorine from water.
- Activated carbon acts as an adsorption media for color, organics, and chlorine
- Pleated glass microfiber filter structure increases surface area, resulting in high efficiency
- Retains 99.97% of particles greater than 0.3 µm
Whatman™ Carbon Cap for organic and chlorine filtration
Large volume chlorine and organic filtration are facilitated by activated carbon, which adsorbs these molecules.
Carbon Cap is a filter filled with high-purity, high-efficiency, acid-washed, activated carbon and a High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter. It is made specifically for adsorption of organic vapors, chlorine, and decolorizing liquids.
