All over the world, in October one can find a sea of pink ribbons highlighting breast cancer awareness month. We are thinking pink—and taking action.
Research is key to unlocking better detection, treatments and making a difference.
For every pack of Whatman lab filtration products purchased in the month of October, we’ll give $1 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Our goal in 2019 is to donate up to $125 000 to the BCRF.
Whatman products can be found in labs around the globe, supporting cancer research and other critical work.
Fueling revolutionary research
We did it… Together, with our valued customers, we raised $100 000 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) last year.
This funded 2000 hours of revolutionary research into the most common cancer in women worldwide. See infographic.
This year we are aiming higher—$125 000 to fund even more hours of breast cancer research.

BCRF: 25 years of game-changing discoveries
The first organization dedicated exclusively to breast cancer research, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder with support from Dr. Larry Norton, BCRF Scientific Director. Since 1993, BCRF-supported scientists have been involved in every major advance in breast cancer research.
Today, BCRF funds researchers across five continents, all working to dramatically improve diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of breast cancer for men and women everywhere.
Behind every person diagnosed with breast cancer there are: family and friends, physicians and scientists. Let's give a voice to this community, through research. Because research is the reason they have a story to tell.
