If you have an existing ӒKTA pure™ L chromatography system, it can be upgraded with the U9-T UV monitor to perform a broader set of applications.

Using SDS-PAGE gels to analyze protein samples on ÄKTA systems is the method of choice to measure purity, confirm molecular weight, and detect protein modifications such as glycosylation, hydrolysis, and degradation. With the densitometry mode on Amersham™ ImageQuant 800 imager and ImageQuant TL analysis software (Fig 1) you can quickly perform quantitative measurements and decide if the purification level is satisfactory or if further optimization is needed.

In this article we describe how samples purified on an ӒKTA chromatography system, separated by SDS-PAGE, gels, imaged on ImageQuant 800 system, and analyzed using ImageQuant software.
