Maria Khoury is a highly-experienced financial professional with over 25 years of experience leading finance organizations in many industries.
Life Sciences became her focus in 2017, when she was appointed CFO of GE Healthcare Life Sciences, which is now Cytiva, spanning bioprocess, cell and gene therapy and genomics and cellular research. In 2021, she was further appointed CFO for the Biotechnology Group, encompassing Pall Life Sciences and Cytiva.
Maria works closely with the President and the leadership team to secure investments for growth based on return, strategy, and customer requirements. She has deep knowledge in operations, treasury, risk management and acquisition integration. She is an energetic and devoted leader to her global team of financial experts, who are also active partners with each business area.
Before joining Cytiva when it was known as GE Healthcare Life Sciences, Maria served in financial leadership positions within GE Oil & Gas in the United States and Italy. From 2014 to 2017, she was CFO of the Surface product company in Houston, Texas. From 2013 to 2014, she served as Lufkin’s CFO from 2013 to 2014, also in Houston. She spent 2010 to 2013 in Florence, Italy, where she held the role of Global Financial Planning & Analysis leader for GE Oil & Gas.
From 2007 to 2010, Maria was Senior FP&A Manager with the GE corporate team in Fairfield, Connecticut. Earlier years with GE were spent as Managing Director for Latin American Operations for GE Treasury and Global Acquisition Integrations. She started with GE in 1999 with GE Treasury in Stamford, Connecticut.
Before GE, Maria was in various operational finance roles with Cargill Inc. for five years. She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello and has a Master’s in Business Administration in International Finance from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Diploma in International Business Strategy from the London School of Economics.
