Products and innovation

Eco design and transparency driving innovation that’s good for business and the planet.

Why we make our products better

While we're cutting direct emissions, the bigger challenge is reducing indirect ones across the value chain. Collaboration, data sharing, and circular design are key.

We are committed to this journey, because every thoughtful design, every transparent choice, and every step towards progress adds up to a better future.

How we extend product life

From design to recycling, every step helps products last longer and waste less.

Step 1: Design

Products are designed for durability and efficiency, reducing resource use from the very start.

Step 2: Make

Manufacturing relies on renewable energy and optimized materials to lower environmental impact.

Step 3: Use

Customers benefit from reliable performance and long product lifetimes in daily operations.

Step 4: Service

Repair, upgrades, and maintenance programs extend the usefulness of products even further.

Step 5: Reuse & Remanufacture

Components are refurbished and remanufactured, giving products a second life at lower cost.

Step 6 Recycle

At end-of-life, materials are recovered and recycled, feeding into new production cycles.

Our sustainability in practice

A bird’s-eye view of how we’re making meaningful moves across every chapter of our business story.

Resins and technology

We take a life cycle view of chromatography resins — from sourcing renewable raw materials to manufacturing with 100% renewable energy. By optimizing resin use and end of life, we cut waste, improve recycling, and help customers reach up to 90% CO₂ reduction.

Downstream hardware

Our downstream hardware applies eco-design to every stage of production. We use fewer raw materials, sustainable logistics, and smarter designs to reduce steel and fossil fuel use, cut shipping emissions, and extend product life for greater efficiency.

Lab filtration

Lab filtration sustainability spans the full journey: raw material selection, efficient manufacturing, responsible distribution, and end-of-life recycling. These actions reduce emissions, lower plastic use, and foster transparency across the value chain.

Expert voice

“We want to pivot to renewable, microbially produced raw materials to generate plastics. Why does this matter? We are all about single use technologies. Hence our customers are producing a lot of plastic waste. So we'll have to improve on this. It's about end of life technology.”
