Manuel Valiente is a finance executive with a passion for learning. He believes that understanding the market, the science and the technology makes finance a stronger business partner.

At work, he is as likely to be found involved in financial matters, as discussing commercial strategies, manufacturing capacity or product development roadmaps. A shareholder advocate, he strives to balance risk with enterprise value growth. Over a career spanning 25+ years with Hewlett-Packard, General Electric, and Danaher, he has gained experience in technology, financial services, energy, oil and gas, medical devices and life sciences. He has been part of the Cytiva journey since 2013, when he joined GE Life Sciences as head of Financial Planning and Analysis before taking role of CFO for the Bioprocessing division. Originally from Barcelona (Spain), Manuel has enjoyed an international career, living in multiple countries in North America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East before relocating to Sweden where he lives with his wife and three children. He holds a BA in Business Administration from ESADE Business School and an MBA in Corporate Finance, from ESADE and NYU The Stern School of Business. He is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program and Corporate Audit Staff.
