The Xcellerex™ X-platform of single-use bioreactors supports working volumes from 10 L to 2000 L, allowing you to scale easily, maximize process flexibility, and reduce risk of errors. Here are the key advantages:

The Xcellerex™ X-platform bioreactors are designed with a modular approach, consisting of three separately housed components:
Bioreactor Vessel:
- Full opening door, baffles, and novel cable management solutions.
- Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) modeling determines the optimal placement of the drive unit, baffles, and liquid addition lines and ensures broad power input range and predictable scalability.
- The Impeller design is optimized for mixing and mass transfer of gases and cell culture media and supports a wide range of cell densities.
- The sparge design includes three main elements for oxygen mass transfer, plus an optional single element for metabolic CO2 mitigation.
- The larger Xcellerex™ X-500 and X-2000 systems feature exhaust filter assemblies accessible from ground level.
- Early foam detection and control is achieved with a novel camera technology (currently only on Xcellerex™ X-500 and X-2000).
Cabinet Assembly:
- Houses all power, gas, liquid management, and sensor components.
- Can be positioned on either side of the bioreactor for flexible arrangement.
Human Machine Interface (HMI):
- Users operate the control software (Figurate™ automation powered by PlantPAx® DCS) via the HMI, which features a 21.5 in. color touchscreen, industrial keyboard, and
- mouse designed for use in a cleanroom environment.
Xcellerex™ X-platform biocontainer bags :
Standard bag designs support security of supply and provide application-specific features and functions for use in basic applications, such as batch cultures, to more complex perfusion operations. The bags are built with industry-proven Allegro™ film and are shipped with innovative, robust packaging packaging to minimize the risk of damage.
