Overview
- Use for oriented capture of antibody fragments
- Ready-to-use, eliminating the need to develop immobilization and regeneration conditions, saving time and effort.
- Captures a wide range of antibody fragments, such as Fabs, single-chain variable fragments (scFv), kappa light chain subtypes 1, 3 and 4, and domain antibodies (dAbs).
Surface description
Carboxymethylated dextran matrix pre-immobilized with a recombinant Protein L for antibodies and antibody fragments containing kappa light chain subtypes (1, 3 and 4) without interfering with its antigen-binding site.
Suitable for the capture of a wider range of antibody classes
Protein L is suitable for the capture of a wider range of antibody classes than both Protein A and Protein G, including IgG, IgM, IgA, IgE, and IgD.
Protein L does not bind bovine immunoglobulins, which often contaminate serum supplements, and is therefore especially useful for quantifying antibodies and antibody fragments from serum based culture.
Sensor chip formats for Biacore systems
Biacore sensor chips are available in two formats.
S series sensor chips are for use with Biacore 1 series, Biacore 8 series, Biacore S200, Biacore T200, and Biacore 4000 SPR systems.
Sensor chips not designated with S series are designed for Biacore X100 and Biacore C SPR systems.
