Notification about Cytiva shipment policy change, effective 1 January 2024

Cytiva is implementing a global alignment of our shipment policy that will see standard shipping and handling included in our 2024 product prices* and provided at no additional charge for orders being delivered from 1 January 2024.

Cytiva’s objective is to simplify and standardize the purchasing and shipment process for our customers globally and across all Cytiva product scope.

The shipment policy update in each country will depend on the prevailing current shipment logistic set up in each country. In most cases this means no change in shipment delivery terms or product prices that already contain standard shipping and handling costs.

Cytiva’s standard shipment policy will be as follows:

  • Cytiva will be responsible for shipment and handling to our customers requested destinations as per our standard delivery terms.
  • Cytiva’s standard delivery terms are DAP or CIP (Incoterms 2020) depending on delivery location.
  • 2024 product prices will include standard shipping and handling* across all product lines.
  • For non-standard shipping requests, such as non-standard packaging, transport methods or expedited shipping, additional shipping and handling charges will be applied. Examples of non-standard shipping are: shipping in special airfreight container, white glove delivery, dedicated truck, chartered plane, freight collect.
  • Our Standard Terms and Conditions have been updated to reflect the shipment policy changes. You can find our updated T&C at: www.cytiva.com/terms.

*Where required by local law, customers will continue to see shipping and handling costs as a separate line item on invoices.



Shipping and handling for the United States and Canada

Shipment policy impact for customers:

  • Change: Cytiva’s standard delivery terms will change to DAP (Incoterms 2020) for deliveries in the US.
  • For Canada, Cytiva’s standard delivery terms will continue to be CIP (Incoterms 2020).
  • Change: From 1st January 2024 there will be no separate charges for standard shipping and handling invoiced for all orders across all product scope with a 2024 delivery.
  • There will be no change in our standard shipment logistic set up and shipment lead times.
  • Standard shipping and handling is defined according to product specific requirements and includes blue ice / dry ice / temperature-controlled transportation if required by the nature of the product.
  • All shipments will be executed by Cytiva approved freight forwarders / carriers only.

Standard Packaging

Packaging will be optimized for cost efficient shipping with adequate protection

  • Protective Secondary Cartons / Containers / Pallet Shrouds where applicable
  • Pallets will be Strapped and Shrink wrapped with corner protections as needed
  • Standard heat-treated EU or US size wooden or plastic pallets where defined as part of product specifications

Non-standard packaging will be charged for.
