Travis Engelman has been learning effective team leadership since his days as a competitive water polo player.  Later bitten by the “genomics bug,” he continues to be amazed at the possibilities. He now applies aspects of leadership and teamwork to strengthen Cytiva’s strategic position through acquisitions.

Throughout his career, Travis has been drawn to healthcare and the life sciences because of the clear purpose the industry has in advancing therapeutics to improve lives. He joined Cytiva in late 2021 directly from the Danaher Environmental and Applied Solutions platform, where he spent two years.  Before that he served as Vice President of Business Development for the Life Sciences Platform.

From 2009 to 2016, Travis led a team of Corporate Business Development associates at Thermo Fisher in the Life Sciences Group.  Before Joining Thermo, Travis held positions in Marketing and Strategy at Novartis and commercial positions at Align Technologies and Merck & Co.

Travis holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from University of California, Davis. He lives in the Bay Area of California with his wife, son, and two dogs. He’s an avid world traveler and speaks both English and Mandarin.
