Cell therapy systems
Automated systems for expansion and processing of cells for cell therapy development.
Frequently asked questions
Cell therapy refers to therapeutic strategies that involves using viable cells to replace, repair, or remove diseased or damaged cells in a patient’s body. Cells may be introduced through injection, grafting, or implantation. Cell therapies derived from the same patient they will treat are called autologous cell therapies. When cells from a different person can be used to treat the patient, it’s called allogeneic cell therapy.
Using cells as therapeutics requires tools and protocols for processing the cells that will become the therapy. This includes upstream processing steps like isolating and harvesting the cells, and downstream processing steps such as formulation. Cell therapy systems are often automated and able to perform one or more steps in that process with the help of cell therapy control software.
Our cell processing systems feature automated, functionally closed technology that decrease your risk of deviation from standardized processes by reducing hands-on operator time. Our approach allows you to bring formerly discrete steps together, saving time and resources.
