Customized chromatography systems
BioProcess MPLC/HPLC systems employ well-proven design solutions that, together with compatible BioProcess MPLC and HPLC columns, ensure the speedy, reliable and convenient process-scale purification of small biomolecules. Such system/column combinations are particularly suitable for processes using reversed phase chromatography (RPC) resins such as SOURCE.
All systems feature a compact, modular and mobile design. The compactness minimizes the amount of floor space, and the modularity/mobility permits the easy expansion of current processing units or relocation to new facilities.Systems are mounted on stainless steel frames with protective glass doors. Two system configurations are available and both offer many standard features to match specific needs.
BioProcess MPLC/HPLC system – Type I
The BioProcess MPLC/HPLC system – Type I is straightforward to use. The standard configuration includes four inlet lines, a pressure transmitter, a flow meter after the column, UV detector, and five fractionation valves.
BioProcess MPLC/HPLC system – Type II
The BioProcess MPLC/HPLC system – Type II is an advanced gradient system designed to blend solvents continuously. The blending process can be controlled by different monitors, including NIR, conductivity (optional) or refractive index of solvents (optional). Signals from the monitors are fed back to UNICORN during blending for accurate and reproducible gradients.
The standard configuration of the BioProcess MPLC/ HPLC Type II system includes four inlet lines, a gradient blending loop with NIR detection, bubble trap, pressure transmitter, flow meter after the column, UV detector, and five fractionation valves.
All systems are controlled by UNICORN software. Several additional features/components are available to ensure that systems match specific needs.
