Validation columns are Tricorn columns packed by our experts at the custom packing department in Uppsala, Sweden. They feature a high-quality packed bed, enabling robust and reproducible process development or validation.
An individual certificate of column performance is provided for each column. The Validation columns provide high consistency between columns in terms of efficiency and asymmetry.
Excellent scale-down models
Because of their dimensions—narrow 10 mm inner diameter, combined with 20 cm bed height typically used in biomanufacturing— these columns are especially suited for scale-down studies such as viral clearance studies.
Other columns can be packed on-demand
If columns with other resins, bed heights and inner diameter are needed, the custom packing department can pack columns to your specifications. Columns available for custom packing include Tricorn, XK, and HiScale.

In mechanistic modeling of chromatography, characterizing columns takes time and can introduce errors. For some resins, Validation columns are available as an f(x) column. These f(x) columns are precharacterized and supplied with Results of Analysis, so you have the column data you need for fast and accurate mechanistic modeling.
