Overview
Whatman™ Nuclepore™ track-etched membrane filters offer a highly defined pore size cutoff in the sub-micron range, enabling particle deformity measurement and capture of extremely small particles. These membranes come in a range of pores sizes and diameters and are also available in sheet format. Whatman™ Nuclepore™ membranes are suitable for a wide range of sample types and applications, including bioassays, microscopy, cytology, parasitology, certain air and oceanography analyses, cell biology, cell culture and chemotaxis, and environment analysis.
- Track-etched for highly defined pore size and high pore density
- Low protein binding and low extractables, minimizing filtration sample contamination risk
- High chemical resistance and good thermal stability for a wide range of sample types
- Low, consistent ash and low tare weights
- Smooth flat membrane surface for high particle visibility
Nuclepore™ track-etched polycarbonate membranes are manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate film and have sharply defined pore sizes, high flow rates, and excellent chemical and thermal resistance. The membranes have a smooth flat surface and exhibit very low levels of extractables. The thin and uniform cylindrical pores also facilitate rapid cell migration.
The hydrophilic membrane filters are manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate film track-etched membrane for high nominal pore size precision and are treated with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP).
