ÄKTA pure/ÄKTA avant and UNICORN™ 6.x
This is a three-day course, offering a mixture between theory and practice, about using ÄKTA pure or ÄKTA avant and UNICORN 6 control software.
Overview
Introduction
ÄKTA pure and ÄKTA avant are flexible and intuitive chromatography systems for fast purification of proteins, peptides and nucleic acids from microgram to gram levels of target product. ÄKTA is a reliable system where hardware and UNICORN software are designed to work together with columns and media to meet any purification challenge. The system supports a wide range of chromatography techniques and meets the automation requirements needed to deliver the high purity. ÄKTA pure and ÄKTA avant are the result of over fifty years expertise in protein research and three decades of experience in the development of ÄKTA purification systems.
Who should attend?
The ÄKTA pure/ÄKTA avant and UNICORN 6.x Introductory Course is designed for researchers and technical staff starting to use ÄKTA pure or ÄKTA avant and UNICORN 6 control software, as well as for process operators, process supervisors and project managers. The course is also suited for users who have already gained some experience with their ÄKTA design system and want to get more familiar with. A basic understanding of computer handling is expected. The courses are offered in English and German. Attention, this course is not aimed for users working with UNICORN 5.x control software.
Learning Objectives
During this course you will learn to: - Program and control an ÄKTA pure/ÄKTA avant chromatography system - Work with columns and Superloop sample applicators - Program and run methods - Evaluate your data - Perform basic maintenance tasks
The ÄKTA pure and UNICORN 6.x Introductory Course offers a well-balanced mixture between theory and practice. During the practical part the course participants will purify a model protein. Usually, the course will be performed by two trainers with a maximum of 12 participants. To achieve maximum learning efficiency only two trainees work in front of one system. Please see Registration Documents for more informaton on course dates and language offered.
