A set of 96-well plates prefilled with six different Capto™ hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC) resins for use in high-throughput process development (HTPD).
- Enables parallel screening of multiple chromatographic resins and conditions.
- Supports fast and efficient evaluation of parameters for binding, wash, and elution conditions, as well as resin benchmarking.
- The plates contain Capto™ Phenyl (high sub), Capto™ Butyl, Capto™ Octyl, Capto™ Phenyl ImpRes, Capto™ Butyl ImpRes, and Capto™ Butyl-S chromatography resins.
- For use manually (with a multichannel pipet and vacuum or centrifugation) or with automated robotic systems.
About PreDictor™ plates for high-throughput process development.
PreDictor™ plates are disposable, 96-well filter plates. The PreDictor™ Capto™ HIC Screening Kit enables parallel screening of six Capto™ hydrophobic interaction chromatography resins. Data generated using PreDictor™ plates show good correlation with data from chromatography columns, making the plates an excellent tool for initial screening of resins and process conditions. The plates can be used with a robotic system or operated manually with a multichannel pipet, as shown in this video.

Hydrophobic interaction chromatography resins
This PreDictor™ Capto™ HIC screening kit contains scalable, high-productivity resins for use in hydrophobic interaction chromatography. They can be grouped in two categories:
High-flow and high-capacity resins:

Figure 1 shows the relative hydrophobicities of Cytiva HIC resins. The resins highlighted in green are Capto™ HIC resins, which enable increased productivity compared to Sepharose™ resins.
