Overview
BioProcess Resin Mixer is an automated system for chromatography resin handling, designed for large-scale biopharmaceutical manufacturing.

BioProcess Resin Mixer helps to generate and transfer a homogenous resin slurry, which plays a critical role in column packing when resin volumes increase. By gently generating an even particle size distribution throughout the slurry, it can help prevent excessive shear forces that may otherwise lead to resin degradation, clogged nets, and increased back pressure.
There are three standard sizes available: 500, 1250, and 2000 L to cover a broad range of chromatography column sizes. All system sizes have the same minimal working volume, expanding the use of the mixer for different column sizes.
BioProcess Resin Mixer is operated through a Rockwell™ programmable logic controller (PLC). A dedicated screen ensures easy interaction and the software includes a library of premade Unit operations and Equipment phases, which enables automation of typical workflows such as buffer exchange and in-tank slurry concentration adjustment.
For a full solution, BioProcess Resin Mixer can be used together with the Media Wand and Media Handling Unit as well as AxiChrom chromatography columns.
