Dr. David B. Pall, scientist extraordinaire, started his filter business where great ideas go to shine — a garage.

Micro Metallic Corporation developed its first filter in the 1940’s during the aftermath of World War II before eventually moving the one-person operation to a shop behind a shoe-shine parlor in Brooklyn. 20 years later, the shift to disposable filters led to the development of Pall Corporation and changed the future of filtration. The company began developing proprietary disposable filters for distribution to large markets, and the rest is history.
