iCELLis™ single-use, fixed-bed bioreactor systems
DocumentsThe iCELLis™ bioreactor system is an automated, single-use, fixed-bed bioreactor that provides controlled cell growth conditions for adherent cells. Available in three formats, they deliver scalable performance from 0.5 to 500 m 2 , supporting process development through clinical and commercial production of gene therapies, vaccines, and other products. These systems simplify and intensify processes from low-density seed train to final product, enabling faster achievement of clinical milestones and market entry. These features include:
Tubing manifolds for iCELLis™ bioreactor systems
DocumentsTo reduce setup time and prevent product loss and contamination risk, Cytiva has designed a set of feed-in and feed-out tubing (manifolds) to facilitate cell culture operations—one set for each of the three iCELLis™ bioreactor systems. The iCELLis™ 50 bioreactor and iCELLis™ 500+ bioreactor manifolds can be aseptically connected using either Kleenpak™ Presto sterile connectors or weldable AdvantaFlex™ tubing. The iCELLis™ Nano bioreactor manifolds are connected using either weldable tubing or quick connects. The iCELLis™ 500+ bioreactor offers two different manifold kits based on the desired recirculation/perfusion rates (high flow and low flow). The choice between high and low flow depends on the process.
Vessels for iCELLis™ bioreactor systems
DocumentsOur iCELLis™ single-use bioreactor vessels contain a prepacked, fixed-bed substrate that consists of USP (US Pharmacopeia) class VI polyethylene terephthalate (PET) carriers that are common to all iCELLis™ bioreactors. A variety of bed heights and compaction factors (grams per liter of carriers), which are conserved across the three systems, help to deliver scalability across a range of surface areas from 0.5 to 500 m 2 . Each vessel consists of:
Cell counting reagent kit for iCELLis Nano bioreactors
DocumentsThe cell counting kit is used with the iCELLis Nano bioreactor. It consists of two reagents: the first solution lyses cells on carriers to release their nuclei, the second solution preserves the lysed nuclei for further analysis.
