Biacore™ cap-tag capture kit simplifies kinetic and affinity analysis of protein interactions with minimal assay development. Attach your protein to Series S Sensor Chip CAP using a Biacore™ cap-tag, enabling reversible capture and easy regeneration for up to 150 cycles.

This capture kit enables attachment of your target protein to a Biacore™ sensor chip by first conjugating a short oligonucleotide tag (Biacore™ cap-tag) to your protein. Biacore™ cap-tag binds to the complementary oligo on Series S Sensor Chip CAP.
The resulting Biacore™ cap-tag protein conjugate can be reversibly captured for protein interaction analysis in Biacore™ systems. After each analysis cycle, the surface is regenerated by removing the protein and any bound analyte, which allows fresh protein conjugate to be attached in subsequent cycles.
Biacore cap-tag capture kit series s is sold as a combination of three different products containing all reagents required for conjugation and capture of Biacore cap-tag ligand conjugates:
- Biacore™ cap-tag conjugation kit that contains Biacore™ conjugation buffer, Biacore™ ligand activator, and Biacore™ cap-tag
- Amersham™ MicroSpin™ G-50 columns for buffer exchange and purification
- Series S Sensor Chip CAP
The capture kit should be used alongside:
- Biacore™ regeneration kit CAP, which contains stocks for preparing regeneration solution for Series S Sensor Chip CAP

Biacore™ cap-tag capture kit series s is developed specifically for protein-protein interaction studies on Biacore™ 8 series, Biacore™ 1 series, Biacore™ T200, and Biacore™ S200 SPR systems, but can be used for other applications.
Biacore™ cap-tag conjugation kit and Biacore™ regeneration kit CAP can be used with any Biacore™ system, but Biacore™ X100 and Biacore™ legacy system users will need to combine these with Sensor Chip CAP which is a component of Biotin CAPture kit (28920233).
The kit contains deoxyribo-oligonucleotides, which makes it unsuitable for use with DNA-binding proteins or enzymes that degrade DNA.
