Particulate filtration

Emflon™ FM filter cartridges, part of Cytiva’s Pall filtration portfolio, are designed for cost-effective clarification of solvents used in the manufacture of antibiotics and other active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

The HDC II pleated polypropylene filter uses fibers of varying diameters to produce a pore size distribution from coarse (upstream) to fine (downstream). The pleated construction permits more contaminant to be trapped in the outer and inner layers of the medium, thereby substantially increasing dirt-holding capacity.

HDC™ II membrane filter discs, part of our Pall filtration portfolio, is a pharmceutical-grade filter.

HDC II membrane in Kleenpak™ capsules deliver extraordinary contaminant-holding capacity, maximum flow rate, and low costs per liter of filtered fluid. The HDC II filter medium is comprised of high-performance pleated cartridge with polypropylene filter medium that uses fibers of varying diameters to produce a pore size distribution from coarse (upstream) to fine (downstream). The fixed pore structure means that contaminants will not unload under variations in flow or pressure differential, and fibers will not migrate or become dislodged to contaminate process fluids. HDC II media also has high efficiency in air and gas applications and HEPA filtration is possible utilizing the J012 grade.

The HDC II membrane in Kleenpak™ Nova capsules, part of our Pall filtration portfolio, are constructed with polypropylene for medium to large scale productions. The capsules incorporate proprietary tapered-pore polypropylene depth media. With removal ratings from 0.6 micron to 700 micron, HDC II filters are well-suited to a broad range of prefiltration applications in biological and chemical API manufacturing facilities where purity, economy and reliability are critical.

PreFlow™ membrane filter capsules, part of our Pall filtration portfolio, provide protection for sterilizing-grade filters during the processing of biological fluids. The fixed-pore structure and proprietary resin-bonded glass-fiber composite media provides high capacity for fine contaminants, resulting in extended service life.
