After serving the market for more than 15 years, ÄKTApurifier was discontinued on 31 March 2014. ÄKTApurifier systems are used in thousands of laboratories around the world. The reliable operation of these systems made them an excellent choice for preparative, lab-scale protein purification.

The latest generation system replacing ÄKTApurifier is ÄKTA pure. ÄKTA pure was launched in 2013 with the latest protein purification technology to meet the increasing demand for flexibility, ease of use, and reliability required for research applications.
