Use when the interaction partner in solution is very large.
Improves sensitivity when monitoring certain interactions.
Maintains sensitivity by keeping large particles as close as possible to the surface.
Attach proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates or small molecules.
Couple to carboxyl groups on the sensor surface via -NH2, -SH, -CHO, -OH or -COOH.

Matrix

The shorter dextran chains of the CM3 allows the interaction to take place closer to the surface which can improve sensitivity when working with large molecules, molecular complexes, viruses or whole cells.
