Overview
The Whatman™ GD/XP non-sterile polyethersulfone (PES) membrane syringe filters are designed to prepare and enhance the inorganic ion analysis of hard-to-filter samples greater than 10 mL. Each unit contains a prefiltration stack of polypropylene prefilters and PES membrane.
- Increase flow rates and reduce blockage as a result of the two layer prefilter stack
- Eliminate sample contamination
- Requires less hand pressure, even for samples with a high level of particulates
- Process three to seven times more sample volume
- Reduce costly exchanges with extended filter life
Applications
- HPLC sample preparation
- Trace metal analysis
- Sample preparation prior to dissolved heavy metal
Polyethersulfone (PES) membrane considerations
This carefully selected Polyethersulfone membrane meets the special filtration requirements of durability, high temperature resistance, good chemical compatibility, and low protein adsorption. It is particularly suitable for filtration of serum, plasma and tissue culture solutions as well as other protein containing solutions where minimal adsorptive protein loss is desired.
ISCC+ certified Biobased polypropylene housing (25mm devices):
- 100% Biobased plastic resin.
- Biobased plastic resin is ISCC Plus certified using Mass Balance approach.
- The polypropylene accounts for 95% of the weight/composition of the syringe filters.
