Overview
Whatman™ Puradisc™ sterile syringe filters with polyethersulfone (PES) membrane combine premium quality with economic efficiency.
- 13 and 25 mm syringe filter diameter to suit sample volume
- Range of pore sizes for retaining a variety of particles
- Non-sterile PES version available
Hydrophilic PES membranes are designed for stability in low pH, have low levels of extractables, and exhibit low protein binding, making them suitable for many aqueous and organic solvents. PES membranes allow higher liquid flow than either PTFE or PVDF.
Whatman™ Puradisc™ is available in the following membrane materials: regenerated cellulose (RC), cellulose nitrate, nylon, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polyethersulfone (PES), polyvinylidene difluoride (PVDF), and cellulose acetate.
Cytiva also offers high-performance GD/X syringe filters with a multi-layer glass fiber prefilter for filtering larger volumes of harder-to-filter samples.
ISCC+ certified Biobased polypropylene housing (25mm devices):
- 90% Biobased plastic resin.
- Biobased plastic resin is ISCC Plus certified using Mass Balance approach.
- The polypropylene accounts for 95% of the weight/composition of the syringe filters.
