This product has been discontinued as of 1 June 2024. We recommend one of the following instead:
- Our Xcellerex™ XDUO single-use mixing system uses the same base technology and the same Fortem™ film single-use biocontainers as the Xcellerex™ XDM single-use mixing system, but with automation.
- Our single-use magnetic mixer features a separate tank and drive unit and utilizes single-use biocontainers made with Allegro™ film.
Xcellerex™ XDM single-use biocontainers are still available. Service is still available for installed Xcellerex™ XDM single-use mixing systems for 10 years following the discontinuation date.
Robustness
The XDM Mixing System is an integrated rigid container, complete with an agitation system and controls that uses an irradiated USP Class VI single-use ULDPE fluid contact layer bag. A disposable impeller is welded into the bottom of the bag assembly that mounts to the motor drive assembly via direct magnetic coupling. The robust magnetic engagement between motor and disposable impeller imparts high torque and rapid mixing capability to the system.
Flexibility
The system delivers flexibility with the availability of two standard bag types that include varying numbers of tubing lines and connections, and sampling and sensing capabilities to accommodate a wide array of applications. Custom bag configurations are also available on request. The bag and rigid container also permit seamless transitioning between powder-liquid and liquid-liquid mixing applications.
The XDM Mixing System is available in single-wall stainless steel, jacketed stainless steel (for heating and cooling applications), or polypropylene. Volume range is from 50 L to 1000 L in stainless configurations and 50 L to 500 L in polypropylene configurations. All mixers are CE and UL approved.
